Beowulf: "Xena, go! Gabrielle needs you! Xena, GO!"

Sub-text turned main-text
[Xena dives through the flames. Inside the circle, she uses her chakram to cut the vines surrounding Gabrielle. She softly places a kiss upon Gabrielle's lips … and history repeats itself.]

Xena: "You're my best friend, my family." - One Against an Army

Gabrielle: "Hey, I just saved your life." - Sins of the Past

Gabrielle: "I'm not the little girl that my parents wanted me to be." - Sins of the Past

Xena: "It's hard to be alone."
Gabrielle: "You're not alone." - Sins of the Past

[On an interesting note, Xena and Gabrielle are now clothed in their original outfits.]

Gabrielle: "Xena …"
Xena: "Gabrielle."
Gabrielle: "I dreamed you'd come for me."
Xena: "It was like I was in a dream, too. I forgot everything. Even though I didn't remember you, I felt your presence and knew I'd never be complete unless those shadows were brought into the light."

[Feeling ignored, Grinhilda removes Beowulf from her claw by tossing him to the ground.]

Xena, don't put it on again
Brunnhilda: "Xena … the ring. The ring."
Gabrielle: [realizing she has the ring in her hand] … "Xena, don't put it on again."
Xena: "I forged this ring, now I have to use it to undo the evil it has caused." … [the ring begins to absorb the flames surrounding them]

[Grinhilda knocks Xena into a cave where thy can have some privacy while she dismembers her.]

Forgive me
Xena: "Grinhilda … listen to me. You weren't always this way. It was my actions that turned you into this beast! Grinhilda … I put the evil into this ring. I can undo it, too, if only … Grinhilda, you must listen to me … [the ring begins to glow, which distracts Xena enough to allow Grinhilda to get her 'hands' on her] … Grinhilda, look inside your heart. Find the woman you once were. Forgive me. Forgive me!"

Gabrielle: [a light begins to glow from the cave Xena and Grinhilda are in] … "Xena!"

[A large explosion bursts forth from the cave. A few moments later, Xena walks out unharmed. She now holds what appears to be the original chunk of Rheingold.]

Beowulf: "Wiglaf, are you okay?"
Wiglaf: "Oh, yeah."

Let's take you home
Gabrielle: [a blond woman follows Xena out of the cave] … "Grinhilda?"
Xena: "That's right. Beowulf … I'll always be indebted to you for bringing me back here."
Beowulf: "I needed the best. The legends didn't lie, Xena. You are the greatest warrior I've ever known."
Xena: "Thank you, friend … [to Grinhilda] … Let's take you home."

You have a good heart, Beowulf
Gabrielle: "Thank you."
Beowulf: "I'll miss you."
Gabrielle: "You have a good heart, Beowulf. If it weren't for you, I'd still be in Brunnhilda's flame."
Beowulf: "I think we both know Xena would have found you eventually."

Thank you, Brunnhilda
Gabrielle: "Thank you, Brunnhilda."
Brunnhilda: "Godspeed, Gabrielle."

[Grinhilda, Xena and Gabrielle fly off on the Valkyrie's horses]

Beowulf: "Not a word, Wiglaf, not a word."

You alright?
Xena: "You alright?"
Gabrielle: "Yeah."
Grinhilda: "Let's go."

Things haven't changed much around here
Xena: "Things haven't changed much around here."
Odin: "Xena? It seems as though you've found yourself again."
Xena: "Odin."

Odin: "Perhaps you have decided to return to me that which belongs in Valhalla … the ring?"
Xena: "I have brought something back that belongs here, yes."
Odin: "Grinhilda?"
Xena: "Grinhilda was the best thing that ever happened to Valhalla, Odin, before it was poisoned by my bloodlust."
Odin: "What do you want?"
Grinhilda: "Return me to my position as Chief of the Valkyrie."
Xena: "She'll teach them a nobler use for their powers, Odin."
Odin: "I'll think about it."
Xena: "Don't think too long."
Odin: "Welcome back, Grinhilda."

Memories are powerful
Xena: "Thirty-five years. The shame of it makes it feel like yesterday."
Gabrielle: "Memories are powerful, Xena. I'm so glad that yours brought you back to me."
Xena: "There's one that's still troubling me."

It belongs to you
Rhine Maiden: "Stay back, Xena! You took all we had years ago!"
Xena: "I know. I came to apologize … and bring you this. It belongs to you."

It wasn't magic
Rhine Maiden: "What magic has made Xena into such a noble creature she would give up the power of the Rheingold?"
Xena: "It wasn't magic."
It wasn't magic
