Antony: "Is that what you want? Surely this is about you capturing me." Xena: "If that was my plan, I would have dressed for the occasion."

Xena: "Now I am free, and you …"
Antony: "Let's just say that your conquest is not yet completed."
Xena: "Well, of course not. Who could expect the great Antony to surrender easily. I simply thought that you might be the type to enjoy surprises."
Antony: "Your guessing serves you well, Queen. But I came here to form an alliance with you. One based on trust … and openness."
Xena: "I think we got the openness covered. And, as for trust … I couldn't have come here in a more vulnerable state, now could I? So, perhaps you should trust me. Come to my palace. I think I can find a bed for you."

Brutus: "I must speak with Cleopatra at once!"
Shiana: "Brutus, is she expecting you?"
Brutus: "No, she is not. But I fear for her safety."

Gabrielle: "What does Cleopatra have to be afraid of, Brutus?" Brutus: "Gabrielle." Gabrielle: "I'm alive [to Shiana] I'll handle this." Brutus: "You survived the crucifixion?" Gabrielle: "You should have been there."

Brutus: "What are you doing here?"
Gabrielle: "I'm paying a visit to an old friend."
Brutus: "Where's Xena?"
Gabrielle: "She's with Cleopatra."
Brutus: "Well, then I'll see them both."
Gabrielle: "It's not a good time, Brutus. I'll relay your concerns about her safety."
Brutus: "I'd just as soon do that in person."

Xena: "Come on … [dragging Antony in her wake] … I won't bite. Ah … why don't you wait thee while I slip into something less comfortable."
Shiana: "Brutus is here to see Cleopatra."
Xena: [so Antony can here her] "Great idea, Shiana. I'm sure Rome would love a tour of Egypt's palace."

Brutus: "Gabrielle, this is ridiculous. I have information that could save Cleopatra's life! I insist on -"
Gabrielle: "You're in no position to make demands!"

Xena: [back in her old leathers] "Ave, Brutus. You know you're in a Queen's bedchamber." Brutus: "I have come to warn Cleopatra there are people plotting against her. Under no circumstances should she trust either Antony or Octavius. They both want her dead."

Xena: "Octavius … Caesar's adopted son?"
Brutus: "He claims to be the rightful heir to Rome. He's just a murdering opportunist."
Xena: "Well, I'll be sure to tell her. I know she'll appreciate your concern."
Brutus: "I would like to see her myself."
Xena: "She's busy."
Brutus: "I'm glad you and Gabrielle are well … [makes a hasty exit]."

Shiana: "What should I do with Antony?"
Xena: "The bath."

Gabrielle: "If Brutus is right, Xena, Antony might try to kill you."
Xena: "I think he has some business to conclude with me first."

Xena: "Welcome, Antony. Oh, this is my companion … [gesturing towards Gabrielle] …Iris."
Antony: "If I were your hands, Iris, I would be fortunate indeed."
Xena: "Leave us."
Antony: "No, I have business to attend to. Besides, I have supped full of pleasures this night … perhaps by morning we can put this issue of trust behind us, and move on."

Gabrielle: "God, Xena. I thought he was going to accept your invitation. How did you know he wouldn't?"
Xena: "I didn't."
